Reviving the Charm: How to Touch Up and Refresh Your Dab Chic & Vintage Furniture Years Down The Line

How To Rejuvenate Your DAB Chic & Vintage Furniture

One of the best things about waxed furniture is the durability, it ages great and can be given a boost easily. Years down the line, after a few bumps and bruises, you can get your furniture back to new in seconds. The best part? Its easy!

Here’s our simple 4-step method to bring your furniture back to life:

Step 1: Clean the Area

Use a soft cloth to gently wipe away dust, and everyday marks. No need to use sprays or cleaning agents, just a cloth with a little moisture to give it a quick once-over.

Step 2: Sand any Sharp Edges

If damage has left any sharp or spikey points, gently smooth it with fine sandpaper. Don’t worry about perfection – just a gentle buff to make it finger friendly.

Step 3: Apply Fresh Wax

Take a cloth and apply a small amount of beeswax, make sure it matches the wax originally used. Rub it in thoroughly and work it into the wood.

Step 4: Buff & Shine

Use a clean cloth and buff the area until there is no excess wax. Move the cloth in the direction of the grain for the best finish.

Why It Works So Well

Wax is wonderfully enduring. Unlike other finishes that might need stripping or re-coating, wax can be touched up anytime, anywhere. It’s quick and easy, keeping your DAB Chic & Vintage furniture looking timeless. Just a few minutes work will last years.
